For A Cause.

The drawings in this series are made from pigments mixed with hormones which are then painted on paper. Both sides of the paper are treated this way so there is no front or back. The paper has been folded into an 8 1/2 “ x 11” rectangle. The drawing can be framed in this format or unfolded and framed in various configurations. The specific hormone used in this work is called oxytocin. It is mixed with the paint and will affect the color of the pigments over time. This hormone is present in all humans and acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain. It is involved in complex brain behavior that allows humans to bond and trust one another. So yeah, you are purchasing a drawing made with hormones. The drawing material is literally an amzing molecule that naturally pumps through our bodies and affects our perception and behavior. I believe this hormone is an incredibly important ingrediant in our evolution as humans. Fifty percent of the proceeds of each sale goes to Black Lives Matter, Los Angeles. Your purchase will help support the work of this organization and help to provide aid for the movement against racial injustice.
